Fighting for Space on My Bathroom Window Sill

My initial title was going to be, “Oh, for another 12 inches!” But that sounded wrong somehow…

Every Surface

Throughout my life, I have noticed that every surface fills up with stuff.

Unless someone takes action, people keep placing items on tables, shelves, window sills, etc.

In general, I keep my living room reasonably neat. But perhaps that’s mainly because my children spend most of their time in other rooms.

Keep Clear

If there is one place where clutter really gets on my nerves, it’s my bathroom window sill.

I like to keep a small area free, for temporary use by things such as cleaning products, or my electric toothbrush case.

In other words, I like to reserve it, so it can become an Active Working Area, as podcaster Merlin Mann might say.

No Free Space

A few months ago, I found myself fighting to fend off encroaching toothpaste tubes once again, and I decided to do something about it.
